How Wa-PYDO handles information collected through this website. Last updated 8 September 2026.
This website is run by the Women and Pastoralist Youth Development Organization (Wa-PYDO), an Ethiopian non-governmental organization founded in Dollo Ado in 2013 and registered with the Authority for Civil Society Organizations under No. 3250.
Our head office is in Dollo Ado District, Liban Zone, Somali Region, Ethiopia, with a coordination office in Addis Ababa. For anything in this policy, write to info@wa-pydo.org.
We only collect information you choose to give us, through one of four places on this site:
The contact form. Your name, email address and message, so we can reply. It reaches info@wa-pydo.org.
The complaints and feedback form. Whatever you choose to give — the form is designed so you can report anonymously, and name, email and phone are all optional. Reports reach our complaints focal point at complaint@wa-pydo.org.
The volunteer registration form. Your name, contact details, location, availability, skills and reasons for applying, so we can assess and follow up on your application.
The email updates form. Just your email address, so we can tell you about events, new projects and stories. Every message we send will include a way to unsubscribe, and you can ask us to remove you at any time by writing to info@wa-pydo.org.
We do not sell, rent or share your information with anyone for marketing. We do not use it to build profiles or target advertising.
This site sets a small number of cookies that are necessary for it to work — for security, for caching pages so they load faster, and to remember your cookie preferences. You will be asked about non-essential cookies through the banner when you first visit.
We do not currently run third-party analytics or advertising trackers on this site. If we add website analytics in future, the cookie banner will ask for your consent before anything is loaded.
Our homepage displays recent posts from our Facebook page. That content is loaded from Facebook, which means Facebook may receive information about your visit, in line with its own privacy policy. Nothing on this site posts to Facebook on your behalf.
Photographs and personal stories published on this site come from our own project work. We publish a person’s name, image or story only where consent has been given, and we leave out details that could put someone at risk — particularly in our protection and gender-based violence work, where we publish aggregate figures only, with no case detail, no survivor stories and no participant photographs.
If you appear on this site and would like your image, name or story removed, write to info@wa-pydo.org or complaint@wa-pydo.org and we will take it down.
Form submissions and subscriber details are kept for as long as they are useful for the purpose you gave them — answering your enquiry, handling your complaint, considering your application, or sending you updates — and are removed when they are no longer needed.
You can ask us at any time to tell you what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. Write to info@wa-pydo.org and we will respond as quickly as we can.
Complaints submitted anonymously cannot be traced back to you, so we will not be able to identify or retrieve them on request.
